Abe heads East Windís fixed income practice where he advises and arranges financings for corporate clients and financial sponsors including Alex Brands (a portfolio company of Propel Equity Partners), Summer Infant, HiTouch Business Services, and Kid Brands.
Abe joined East Wind in 2005 after spending nearly 15 years at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. where he began his career as a financial analyst, was promoted through the ranks and served as a Managing Director in the following investment banking divisions:
His transaction experience includes (i) over $3.5 billion of syndicated bank loans, structured debt and bond offerings, (ii) over $2 billion of mergers & acquisitions and restructuring transactions and (iii) over $1 billion of initial and secondary public and private equity offerings for corporations and financial sponsors including Time Warner, Walt Disney, TV Azteca, Tevecap, The Cleveland Indians, and The State of New York. Abe also serves as an independent director of Rusoro Mining, Ltd., a Canadian publicly-traded company and has successfully developed several buildings in New York City.
Abe graduated summa cum laude from Brandeis University with Highest Honors from the Economics Department. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and is the recipient of the 1992 Feldberg Prize in Economics. He was born and bred in Lima, Peru and lives in New York City with his wife and children.
